Massive fire breaks out at Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan's Alwar
29 Mar 2022 A massive fire has broken out at Sariska Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan's Alwar district, putting wildlife in the reserve at risk.
The
fire erupted on Sunday due to unknown reasons and has now spread to an
area of around 4 km radius. Around 200 district forest personnel were
pressed into service to try to bring the fire under control.
After
the district administration and the forest reserve officials from the
tiger reserve failed to control the fire, help was requested from the
Army. They will begin work on Tuesday.
