The WILDLIFE PROTECTION SOCIETY OF INDIA (WPSI) is a dynamic wildlife conservation NGO, founded in 1994. Our mission is to tackle India’s growing wildlife crisis by supporting efforts to combat poaching and illegal wildlife trade, addressing human-animal conflict, and conducting impactful awareness programs in forest fringe communities. Vacancy: Projects Coordinator
Location: WPSI’s Head Office in New Delhi
Reporting to: CEO & Executive Director, WPSI

We are seeking an experienced and committed Projects Coordinator to oversee our conservation field projects. This is a senior-level position that plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness, accountability, and strategic direction of WPSI’s conservation work across India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in facilitating and monitoring WPSI’s conservation programmes.
  • Travel to field sites, as needed, to monitor project implementation and progress.
  • Develop project proposals and write high-quality and compliant donor reports.
  • Ensure project data management, compliance, accurate budgeting, and financial reporting for multiple programmes, while coordinating with internal teams.
  • Effectively communicate on programme needs, and assist in the general management and administration of the NGO.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferably a Master’s Degree in Wildlife Sciences or a related field.
  • A minimum 5 years of experience in wildlife conservation in India, with an understanding of current wildlife and environmental issues in India.
  • Proven experience in project budgeting, expense tracking, and financial compliance.
  • Knowledge of proposal development, donor reporting, and project M&E frameworks.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and meet tight deadlines
Compensation and Benefits:
Salaries will be negotiated according to qualification and experience.
Other benefits include Provident Fund, and Medical and Accident Insurance.
