WPSI is looking for a young lawyer to join its Legal Programme. The minimum qualifications for this post are a Bachelors Degree in Law and registration with a Bar Association. There are no requirements as to experience, but we are looking for someone with a genuine passion for wildlife and an awareness of wildlife issues. Applicants will require excellent research and drafting skills. Fluency in written and spoken Hindi is essential. The work will involve interaction with the Government Authorities (Forest Department, Police, and the Ministry of Environment and Forests) on law and policy issues and litigation at trial and appellate court levels.

The successful applicant will be based in New Delhi. The post is offered for a 1-year renewable contract. Salaries shall be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will be required to report to the Head of the Legal Programme.
